How to Make Sure You Continue Receiving Emails from Dr. Leggett
QUESTION:
You have marked our emails as "not junk" or "not spam" or "safe" but our emails are still being routed to your spam or junk folder? What can you do?
THE SHORT ANSWER:
The only way you can be sure that you will always receive our emails is to tell your email service that drkarenleggett.com@send.aweber.com is a "safe" sender. The easiest way to do this is to create a contact called Dr. Leggett (or whatever you want) and put both of the following email addresses in the contact (all email services allow you to put more than one email address in a contact).
drleggett@drkarenleggett.com
drkarenleggett.com@send.aweber.com
drkarenleggett.com@send.aweber.com
That should do it!
THE LONG ANSWER (MORE TECHNICAL):
Dr. Leggett - Women's Midlife Specialist, like most businesses online, uses an email marketing service. Email marketing services make it possible for businesses to send emails to select groups of subscribers or even to all subscribers at once. We happen to use AWeber, but there are many others (like MailChimp, InfusionSoft, BenchMark, etc.).
When you receive an email from us, the return email address is drleggett@drkarenleggett.com. That IS the "from" address, BUT, it's NOT the "sender" of the email. When you tell your email service (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) that an email from drleggett@drkarenleggett.com is safe, you may not get the intended results, meaning they may continue to route our email to your junk or spam folder.
In our case, the "from" email address is what you see in the email, drleggett@drkarenleggett.com. However, the actual "sender" email address is drkarenleggett.com@send.aweber.com because AWeber is sending the email on our behalf.
